Photo Shoot

BA's Aunt Vickie made a beautiful white smock dress for Leah, complete with a handmade bonnet.  It's gorgeous.  We wanted to get some nice pictures made in this outfit before Leah outgrew it so we drove out to Malibu for a 2-month-old photo shoot.  Unfortunately, the optimal lighting for photographs, late afternoon, coincided perfectly with Leah's fussy time that night.  The only technique that reliably worked was to put a pacifier in her mouth, let her calm down for a few minutes, then yank it out and smile as fast as I could at the camera while BA snapped the photo.  From the time the pacifier left Leah's mouth to when she totally lost it was about 5 seconds.  We had a beautiful background, a beautiful little dress, and one screaming, crying, mad-as-hell, baby.

We did our best.

Look at the camera and smile real fast before Leah goes ballistic.

Okay, that's not working, maybe I'll try and make funny faces at you.

Oh, I give up.
