One of our favorite things in the world is Chick-fil-A. When we moved out west, we thought we were saying goodbye to Chick-fil-A. We were pleasantly surprised that Chick-fil-A had moved west with us. However, they are not on every street corner like they are back east. We will often drive 2 hours round trip on a Saturday to visit the closest Chick-fil-A, and it is well worth it. Of course we haven't been able to do this very much in the past 3 months or so. So we're trying to get back into the swing of it.
To reward us for our loyalty over the years, I'm quite sure the higher-ups at Chick-fil-A are planning a trip to our house with balloons, costumed cows, and a big fat check that says, "Congratulations! You've received a lifetime supply of Chick-fil-A!" We'll keep an eye out.
Leah recently had her first official trip to Chick-fil-A, which I'm sure she'll learn to love. She did pretty well (slept) on the way there, and was fairly peaceful in the restaurant.
She even nodded off again....
Then we got our food and settled in for our favorite meal. Naturally, she decided she had had enough, and wailed away until tears streamed down her face. AA took her out to the car, settled her down, and brought her back in. She was her usual, curious self from that point on, but we didn't chance it and hit the road as soon as we could. We didn't even have to stop to feed or change her until we got home! She was a trooper. She must know, deep down, what this place means to us.

One day, little girl, you'll love it....hang in there!

She is saying, "If you won't share your nuggets with me, then we should go home!"
ReplyDeleteAs you know, chicken is near and dear to my heart too. She knows her Aunt J was a chicken salesperson and she was just letting everyone else know, especially since Aunt J is visiting soon.
ReplyDeleteOnce again, my deepest sympathy goes out to the peanut, on her first "official" trip to chick-fil-a. By the way, is there an "un-official" trip to a chicken restaurant? I wonder? So she over reacted a bit at the chick-house, and started wailing. So would anyone with half a brain, to be wheeled into a place with talking cows, and "Eat mor chick'n" emblazoned on their sides. Did you also notice that huge orange, green and blue monster of a mosquito hanging precariously over her seat, ready to strike the wee tyke. You would wail too.
ReplyDeleteI agree with that monster of a mosquito unnearving our dear Leah. The picnic we enjoyed w/gma was more relaxing back when she was a new born babe and stayed in the car. gma
ReplyDeleteI wish I could comment on what this might mean for Peanut's Chick-fil-A future, but she's just so cute (even with tears in her eyes), that I just can't think of anything else.
