The Waiting is the Hardest Part

Tom Petty was right - the waiting really is the hardest part.  Okay in this case maybe actually giving birth will be the hardest part, but right now I'm tired of waiting.  This past Monday the doctor said my amniotic fluid was low and that she had to re-check me on Wednesday.  I was secretly hoping that the doctor would decide to induce me this week and I was actually discouraged when she checked my amniotic fluid levels on Wednesday and informed me that all was back to normal and that I would not be induced.  And while I know it's best for the baby if she stays in the womb a little longer, I am sick of getting excited about having her, and then having to wait.  And I'm really sick of going to the doctor.  I went three times this week.  THREE!  And I'm just exhausted with it.  If I've learned anything from this pregnancy, it's that my daughter will time and time again prove the doctors wrong.  They keep trying to spot "potential problems" and she keeps knocking them down.  That's my girl!  She's a feisty little one.  I keep talking to my belly saying things like "come on Peanut, let's go, look alive baby girl!" trying to encourage her to make her appearance.  But so far, she's content to spend her days kicking my ribcage and hiccuping.  So we are still waiting.
