It's AA here. I've hijacked BA's Corner to give you a quick update. My doctor has scheduled an induction for July 13. The Peanut will be here in 6 days or less! I did not initially want to be induced, but today I talked with my doctor about the best course of action to take and she recommended it for two reasons.
(1) I have been going to the doctor to be monitored for amniotic fluid levels twice a week since week 30. Because my amniotic fluid levels are already low, it makes more sense to have the baby now, since she is full term, instead of continuing to monitor my fluid levels in fear that they will drop again, and,
(2) The Sepulveda Pass, aka Interstate 405, will be shut down the weekend of July 16th.
Yes, that's right. I am scheduling an induction around the closing of an interstate. I feel like a bad mother but I'm afraid only my LA readers will truly understand the need to schedule the birth of my child prior to the closing of the 405. Here's why. On a good day, it will take me 1 hour to drive the 21 miles to the hospital. In rush hour traffic, it might take 2 hours. When an 8 mile stretch of the busiest interstate in LA is closed, who knows how long it will take - 3 hours or more? I'll more likely have the baby on the side of the road if we sit in traffic that long.
So there's the plan. Induction on the 13th unless Peanut decides to come early on her own.
Now, back to BA's Corner: Here are some pictures from the Friends set at Warner Brothers Studio. These pictures were taken back in May during our studio tour. Is this cool or what?

So exciting! I had an induction with Sam and you will do just fine! I scheduled my induction so that I could have my doctor there instead of other doctors in the practice. ;-) Praying for a quick and safe delivery. I can't wait to see pictures of the sweet baby. Woohoo!!
