Peanut's Post: Hanging Out with Mom

Peanut here.  It's been a while since my last update.  I am currently going through some changes in management structure at home.  The parents want me to sleep in my crib - Alone.  I know ... it's crazy.  And I am trying to assert my authority as the authority in the house but they are giving me a lot of push-back recently.  But, just so you know it's not a constant battle at home, I'd like to share one of my favorite activities with you - hanging out with my Mom.

P.S. I like hanging out with Dad too, but I don't have any photos of that right now.

Mom and I like to chill, usually on the weekends, but sometimes at 6 a.m. on a Monday, too!

We just chat about current events, how cute I am, and whether or not I'm planning on pooping today.  It's so much fun!

Sometimes I like to lean in close if I'm trying to express my opinion ....

Mom says I'm a little pistol.  I don't know what that means but I'll assume it's a compliment.

  2. Hi Peanut,

Your lawyer here; well at least for the next 6 months and then I expect to be replaced by younger, smarter, and prettier counsel. I can still be "of counsel" (whatever that is) and sit in my front yard and smoke cigars, drink scotch, and hand out advice that will be largely ignored, and rightly so. What to do about the change in management structure? I went through this with "Dear leader" Mom when she was your age, and they really have you at a disadvantage-they have greater patience. But you have a secret weapon that will ring the bell every time-your beautiful smile. They can't resist it. So you can cry, wail, kick your legs, make them change your pants, throw the pacifier away, and when they are agonized to the limit, just SMILE.

  3. When I saw your hand go up to your Mom's face, I thought of your Great Grandpa Rinelli getting his point across. I know you and your Mom cherish these special, one-on-one times. gma

  4. Peanut, I totally agree with your lawyer here, your smile is astoundingly beautiful, and will work wonders. And those pics are great, glad you and Mom are having fun! I'm sure she enjoys taking a break from all that "law" stuff.
